A Wryneck seen briefly perched in a tree before dropping into dense cover on the Isobel Trail cycle path this morning whilst carrying out a WeBs count (news via @ScottoftheMarsh)
2x Great White Egret still at 15:45 (LW). Later 1x Great White Egret, 2x Little Egret, 11x Ruff, 14x Curlew, Green Sandpiper, 3x Water Rail (juv), 7x Shoveler (JW).
Please keep to the public footpaths that run through the site and avoid if possible visiting during the pit working times. The site is monitored and security patrol the area frequently and will remove anyone who strays from the paths.
